Two students have been asked to put together a presentation about nanotechnologies for their classmates, but they are totally unprepared on the subject. So two tiny animated atoms decide to grow one billion times bigger to help the clueless students by providing them with the necessary information about this new science, which is halfway between chemistry, physics, biology and IT. The boys visit several laboratories where reasearchers show them the full potential of nanotechnologies: ever faster nanochips, new materials with amazing properties (water-repelling glass that grows darker or lighter based on user-specific requirements and does not conduct heat), new carbon aggregations that might come in handy even in the medical field. Finally, new nano-robots designed to look and behave like living creatures. A host of knowledge that is guaranteed to stun and intrigue both the two students and the viewers. This highly educational documentary is suited even for a very young audience.
