From the plough to the tractor: this is the story described in this cartoon. But the innovation is not only technological. The rhythm of the innovation is determined by people who have eccentric ideas respect to their cultural environment. In spite of the fact that someone makes fun eccentric people and odd original ideas are considered foolish.
And yet we should not have any progress, above all in agriculture, without this continuous interaction between technological development and innovative ideas. A progress which allowed to few people satisfy alimentary need of many others who could dedicate their self to creative activities which stimulated new ways of civilization.
