It’s not Science Fiction, it’s a point of fact: in few years it will be possible to create babies specially made. It will be possible to order them with eyes and hairs of a specific colour and, why not?, with a friendly disposition. In these terms, research about identification of gene and their functionality may sound like the evil plan of a fool. On the contrary, the same research could indeed eliminate many of the worst genetical diseases.
Designer babies concerns with the many conflicting aspects of this problem and shows some of the prospects connected to the identification of the genetical inheritage.
