XVI VEDERE LA SCIENZA FESTIVAL - MILAN, 26th March-1st April + 3rd April 2012

Vedere la Scienza Festival is an international event open to the public. A whole week of films, documentaries, videos.
The International competition host works from a lot of countries, produced after 1st January 2010, on: astrophysics and cosmology, mathematics, life sciences, environment and climate, physics, history of science, Earth sciences, energy, neuroscience, ..
Participation is open to televisions and media production companies, indepent producers, research institutes and universities, museums, academies, organizations and agencies. An International Jury will assign an award for each of the categories of the competition.
The Festival offers also a Show with historical or recent films. Computer science and the relationship between man and machines is the subject of the 2012 edition, on occasion of the centenary of the birth of Alan Turing. One of the fathers of computer science and artificial intelligence Turing is also well known as a cryptanalist for his contribution during Second World War.
All Festival sessions are open to the public, journalists, experts, students. Morning sessions (monday to friday) are reserved to schools, under reservation.

SNAPSHOTS OF SCIENCE: A MEETING ON SCIENTIFIC PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEOS
Young students will present photographic works and scientific videos. Feedback will be provided by experts in scientific disciplines and photography from the Università degli Studi di Milano, Scienza under 18 and the Museo di Fotografia Contemporanea.
