The 2011 edition of Vedere la Scienza Festival, XV International Film, Video and Documentary Festival, will take place in Milan from the 2nd to the 8th of May.

As usual the Festival Programme embraces every scientific fields (astrophysics and cosmology, life sciences, natural sciences, chemistry, environment and climate, history of science, environment and energetic resources, …). A special focus will be given to the themes linked to 2011 - International Year of  Chemistry and the celebrations for the centenary of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry to Marie Curie: chemistry, physics, women in science. In the occasion of the Orticola event, a special session will be devoted to botany, botanical gardens and parks.

Participation is open to televisions and media production companies, independent producers, research institutes and universities, museums, schools, organizations and agencies.
Different categories are eligible, according to the film genre and the applicant.
An International Jury will assign an award for each category. A special Award will be assigned by Orticola Association to the best botanical title.

All the Festival sessions are open to the public, journalist, experts, students; the admittance is free.
Morning sessions (monday to friday) are reserved to schools.
